Canada has a lot, which reminds you of home.
The Government House,in Victoria in Vancouver island, where the Lieutenant General lives,(he s appointed by our Queen am told), has the most magnificent gardens. Borders which are laid out like they are here. Colours are subdued , and great attention is paid to structure and form.
The front of the residence has both the Canadian flag and the Union Jack flying, and am told that this garden is a must see for all British visitors.
The colours and harmonised, annuals and exotic plants rub shoulders with the hardy ones, and great attention is paid to shape and structure and not just to the colour.
As you walk through them you can hear British accents too, as visitors admire the beautiful settings and the brilliant sunshine.
Thought I will share some photos of it with you.
