The Garden and I !!!!

I have been trying to get my garden in shape. The recent weathwer has made a mockery of my efforts.

Everything is growing into lush greenery,a bit long and weak in my opinion as there is not much sun to strengthen its bones! A bit of plants rickets if you like. Still it has been wonderfull to get out and about and get fresh air.

This is my Wisteria, it has taken me 15 years to get it to flower! I have had it since 1994. Transported it to this house, fed it,talked to it,and cursed it,to no avail. Then for the last two years have been pruning it twice a year.In July and in February, and that seems to have done the trick.

As you can see,my dwarf ornamental Cherry, and the Phormium are thriving, and so it the Palm. I like a bit of the exotic touch!

I love the way the shadows change, and the sun starts and sets at a different angle in the garden. This is the summer su

Caenthose or Californian Lilac as it is called.

My Clematis Montana and Fatsia japonica or the Castor Oil plant.

And lastly my Clivia are in full bloom and and am collecting the seeds now to give them away.

And by the way I have put my picture as the avatar, this was taken on our daughter`s wedding day last May, I just wanted to remember it.It was a lovely day.
