There is a documentary today on the BBC ,a long interview with the young girl Malala Yousufzai, who was shot in the head by the Taliban, and who has been given a new life in the West.
She says in her interview that “America and the Taliban should talk to each other, and not bomb each other”.
Now what I want to know that do you think at 16 years of age she is entitled to make such political statements?
The PM of Pakistan has said the very same thing,so why is her statement being given more prominence?
The conspiracy theorist are already muttering that the West is using her to “discredit” pakistan , to which I would reply that no one need to do that! Pakistan has unfortunately managed it all by itself!
So should she have a whole Panorama (one hour) dedicated to her? or is it as the Pakistanis say the west’s effort to discredit pakistan?
Please note am not from Pakistan, am just asking this question from a neutral stand point. As I myself am unable to make up my mind.
I know a lot of you are very well informed/read , hence I will appreciate your points of view.
